Sometimes a picture can say so much more than words can. It’s snowing in New York, and considering that this time last week I was just landing in Dallas where it was 30 degrees, and I had left Sydney, where it was also 30 degrees, this is a bit of a shock. A big shock, actually. My snow boots are currently sitting in my Mum’s garage, inside a box labelled ‘to be shipped’.
Considering how noisy and intense this city can be, there is an eerie sense of calm that comes with the softly falling flakes. My friend had told me that was the case, but it wasn’t until I could experience it today that I fully appreciated it.
