Those simple pleasures
It was one of those weekends. The kind where the only place I went was to the bakery for coffee and a pastry. I sat in the sun and read. I spent time in my favourite book store, just looking and smelling and taking it all in (how great do books smell?!) I walked, I sat on my pouffe and meditated, stretched, watched TV, and enjoyed dinner with my parents and my wonderful Nan.
There’s nothing like a weekend of simple pleasures. And sunshine. Oh goodness, the sunshine. I’m starting to go a little cold-weather-crazy (understatement), and the second the sun comes out, I race to the sunny corner of my lounge room and curl up like a cat.
I love exciting weekends of eating out, shopping adventures, and seeing friends, but sometimes those simple weekends are the most enjoyable.
What did you get up to?
PS – I’m currently reading an incredible book called The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. I bought it in New York and have been slowly reading it to really savour every chapter. I love when you find a book that you never want to end!
