It’s been a week of tea and sympathy, only getting out of bed and putting on a face to head to Sassybella’s 10th birthday party on Wednesday evening. What a frickin amazing party. Seriously. I’ll do a proper post on it next week once I get some pics and I can string a sentence together. I want to show you the Bite lip crayon I rocked – it seemed to constantly want to get on my teeth, but it was worth it.
The other things cheering me up as I haul my ass out of this flu-funk are 1 – chemist jelly beans and 2 – Glasshouse candles. Firstly, chemist jelly beans are the shit. You know the ones I mean – Glucojel, blue and yellow packaging, at the checkout of pretty much every chemist in Australia. When I’m sick these are all I want, and no other brand of jelly beans will do. And Lucozade, original flavour only.
Glasshouse candles always make me happy, but especially so when I’m feeling poorly. I love the jar, the beautiful form of the lid, the heavy duty wicks, and the insane fragrance they throw. A friend gifted me two new candles this week and I have been burning non-stop, alternating scents. I can’t decide which I love more – Monte Carlo (fig & guava) or Sassafras (blackberry & tea rose). Have you tried Glasshouse candles? Do you have a favourite? My all time fav is probably Tahaa (vanilla and caramel) or the now discontinued Cuba (pineapple, tangerine and cherry). I’m hanging for the limited edition Coney Island (burnt sugar and fig) that is due out Sept 2.
What cheers you up when you are sick?
