One of the wonderful things about being a blogger is getting to go to events and product showings. This time of year is particularly rad because everyone is gearing up for Christmas. Yes…Christmas. Over in magazine-land they are just finishing up their December issues, so all the big brands have to be super-organised for the mag girls. Personally, I use the Christmas showings as a chance to start writing my list and checking it twice, in the same vein as someone else who is big on the holiday season.

Earlier this week I went to the showing for Mecca, Kit, and Mecca Maxima. This is always one of my favourite showings because they have such a huge range of fun and interesting brands. So many amazing gift sets, and who doesn’t love a gift set. The Kit nail polish sets are fab – the packaging has retro black and white photos set against crazy colourful patterns. Mecca are also doing gift boxes of their mini polishes – Best of Mecca is 6 of their top colours, and Perfect Pairs is 10 polishes all matched up in perfect mani-pedi combos. Great as one mega gift, or split it up for a bunch of stocking stuffers.

Speaking of stocking stuffers, I fell head over heels for the teeny tiny rubber ducks that are filled with lip gloss. The gold one is butterscotch and the spotted one is tutti frutti. So cute! And PS the nail art set next to the duckies in the photo below is seriously the best nail art kit I have ever tired, and I have tried a lot. Will post some more piccies soon, promise!

Oh yeah, one last thing. Heart shaped foam hair rollers. Yes.
