I was pretty stoked to hear that Kate Somerville is finally being stocked in Australia. I have been using and loving Kate Somerville products for years, but have been reluctant to write big gushing reviews (apart from here and here) since most of you who read it are Aussie and it’s just kind of mean being all like ‘hey there’s this great product that you can’t get!’ Thankfully, Mecca Cosmetica have picked up Kate Somerville so I don’t feel guilty anymore. What I will say though is not to check Sephora and compare prices.
My favourite Kate Somerville product is her signature prod ExfoliKate. It’s a beautiful enzyme exfoliator that always leaves my skin glowing, smooth and feeling clean. The magical combo of salicylic acid, microbeads and fruit enzymes – namely papaya, pumpkin and pineapple – means that not only does it smell good, but it’s incredibly efficacious. Which is a really wanky and up-myself way of saying effective.
Only thing I don’t like is that Kate has changed the packaging. It used to be a cool push top tub, and now it’s a boring old tube. Gosh I carry on like a pork chop sometimes, don’t I? Go buy it. Try it. You’ll love it, promise.
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment – $98 for 60ml (flippin’ expensive, but it lasts for ages ‘cos you only need a small amount once or twice a week)
Disclosure: I purchased my Kate Somerville product at Sephora in the US
