OPI Gelcolor – for when you need your pedicure to last over 45 days

OPI Gelcolor pedicure Pink Flamenco

I gotta give mad props to OPI Gelcolor. I had my fingers and toes done three days before my wedding. Forty five days later I took the colour off my toes. FORTY FIVE DAYS!

I took the colour off my fingers after two weeks because my nails grow really quickly and they started to look pretty ghetto with huge gaps at the cuticles. BUT, even after forty five days, my pedi still looked like it had just been done – shiny, glossy, scratch free, not a chip in sight. I only took it off because, quite frankly, I don’t think it’s particularly healthy to leave any sort of polish on for that long. And my toenails finally needed a trim.

It gets two very enthusiastic (painted) thumbs up from me. You could essentially get through winter hibernation with just two pedicures. Also perfect for when you’re taking an extended vacation. Get on it!

I had my mani and pedi done at Fifty Four Park St Day Spa (Melisa and Eve are two of the best nail artists in Sydney) and it costs around $45-$60, depending on your salon. Call OPI to find a salon near you – 1800 358 999. The colour pictured above is Pink Flamenco. The sandals are from Urban Outfitters.

Note: My pedicure was a wedding gift, courtesy of OPI and the salon

Hey April – Gelcolor is a salon-only product because it has to be ‘cured’ with the special UV lights. I believe the OPI nail bars in David Jones are offering these manis now, or if you call 1800 358 999 you can find a local salon 🙂
