The fun and cheap alternative to a Polaroid

The happy couple

I bought a lot of stuff for the wedding. For a shopping addict, organising a wedding was like a license to go nuts, but with a colour theme. One of my favourite things we did for the wedding (apart from the epic candy bar) was the polaroid camera. Actually, it wasn’t a real polaroid, but a Fuji Instax 210, which is essentially a polaroid in everything but name.

I bought the camera on ebay, plus 10 packs of 10 pieces of film, so 100 shots all up. I paid less than $200 for the camera and film, and it was here in about a week from Hong Kong, which is pretty awesome. At the wedding we had people take photos and write messages on them, and then stick them on a big white canvas. Once we got it home I took them off the canvas and strung the pictures up in our study, and they are now one of my favourite features of our home.

So many memories

The camera is big and chunky, but not heavy at all

See the little lens on the front with the mirror? That’s a press on cap for selfie shots. So cool!

Yes. All kinds of yes. I’m still a little scared of these being a fad though, I bought one of those mini polarioid cameras years ago but they stopped making the film like two months later. Def want one though.
