If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen me tweet recently that I was flicking through the Coles Christmas Gift Guide and I was massively impressed by all the affordable little gift options. I was particularly captivated by a mini set of three body washes, and as soon as they landed in my local supermarket, they were in the trolley.
I would say I was attracted to the bitchin’ gift box packaging, but that’s not true. It’s actually the fact they look like Philosophy products – the bottle shape, the scents, the typography, the little story on the packaging…tell me you don’t see a resemblance?! If I Love… body wash is a cheaper version of Philosophy, then Smith Street Market is the ridonkulously cheap version. Five bucks for three mini body washes! That’s three gold coins – less than a coffee and cake in most Sydney cafes.
The three scents are plum, cherry and pineapple (as an aside, it really bothers me when people say ‘flavours’ when referring to body wash – do you eat it?). The plum and cherry are really nice, but you can bet your bottom french fry I went straight for the pineapple. Oh lordy, it’s so sweet and delicious, it’s like I hit up the Allen’s lolly factory and dived into a vat of Pineapples. Don’t be put off by the fact it’s very bright yellow – it’s good.
As an aside, make sure you screw the cap off and take out the little lid covering the top of the bottle. It really holds the process up when you’re standing in the shower going ‘why. won’t. you. come. out. of. the. bottle.’ #blondemoment
